Sorry if this is already answered somewhere else - I'm trying to dig through the resources here but can't find an answer. What is the difference between index.html and homepage.html when a professional web blog template is used to create a blog? Or do I not even need to worry about any differences?
How do we backup our blog style modifications including changed/new templates? The Tools - Backup option is grayed out.
Also, if you've modified a theme and then use the Styles menu to choose a new style, change your mind and go back to the original that you modified, are your modifications still intact or does it revert to the default style from Stylecatcher?
My "Leave a Comment" box seems to have disappeared!
Based on the settings, it seems like it should be there--comments are set to "enabled." It was there earlier today.
Any suggestions?

Just to let everyone know the Blogs at Penn State are now back online and functioning.
The scheduled outage is over, and Blogs at Penn State is back online.

Hello,
First off - awesome job with all the documentation so far. I've been referencing this site a lot over the past weeks as I'm getting my blog set up.
I do have one question though that I can't seem to find an answer to. On this thumbnail (http://www.sixapart.com/movabletype/styles/mt4/cityscape-tokyo/thumbnail...) from this site (http://www.movabletype.org/design/assistant/) it shows a top navigation. However, I see nowhere to be able to utilize this function. I've tried coding it myself into the header template module, but without success because hard coding it a.) doesn't work that well and b.) doesn't make it dynamic for each page.
Is there a way to be able to add this top navigation? And if so, can I utilize pages as the other links?
Basically, I want it to look like:
Blog | About Me | Past Projects | Contact
And then I'd like to make About Me, Past Project, and Contact pages with additional information for people to click on. Is this possible?
Any feedback is very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve
Good Morning,
I will be teaching PC Hardware Basics this fall. I would like to create a class blog. Can anyone connect me with other technical faculty who are using blogs in a technical course. I would like to seek thier advice on how best to create and use a blog in a technical course.
Thank you,

So, to make comments on a blog posting, the user must either have a webaccess login, livejournal id, or a vox blog? I am not against authentication for posting, but these forms seem limiting. In addition, they will be confusing to user external to Penn State, which is an audience many of us will want to access.

Now that I built several "toy" blogs to get the feel for this blog server (a good feel, too), I wonder: How do I delete a blog I created?

I am in the process of migrating from my MT3 blog over to MT4. I use ecto to work on my blog posts until I am ready to publish in MT3. I found the Password for the API key that is referenced in the following forum post. http://blogger.psu.edu/node/112 However, I am not having luck with the url. Is there a new url for the xml-rpc access point?
Thanks.
