If I select the classic blog type, can I change my mind later and switch to the Professional or TEP Framework types?
I just created a test blog in using the Teacher Education Performance Framework. As I edited one of the framework templates, everything seemed to go OK. However, when I navigate to either the "About" page or the "Contact" page, when I click on the framework heading (in this case, heading A) I get a 404 error. when selecting the framework from the front page, no problem. Is this supposed to work this way? If so, I think that we may have an issue with student having to create/edit linkages on other pages so that the framework connections will work properly.
I like the look of the professional sites, but this could be a hindrance in wider acceptance of the tool for e-portolio.
A while ago I migrated my blog to MT4. Of course, I'm fairly clueless about all of this, so I'm afraid I missed something. My blog looks OK, but I wanted to add more widgets. I followed the widget directions from blogs.psu.edu, but I don't even have the "Widget First Set" (or whatever it was called!). I tried to go ahead and create my own widget set, but can't get the items I added to appear on my blog (I was trying to add categories/tag cloud). My blog URL is http://www.personal.psu.edu/atb3/blogs/frugal_and_organized/

Im trying to Login to the new blog system at blogs.psu.edu
Doesnt work for me. Tried firefox, IE on 2 different computers. The IE just freezes. Firefox will eventually timeout and give me this: "Redirect Loop
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."
I can login to the old blog system, just not the new one.
Hey. I'm trying to create a blog, but every time I hit publish it gives me an error saying
Error making path '/pass/users/s/j/sjs5128/www/blogs/stefans_thoughts/2008/09': mkdir /pass/users/s/j/sjs5128/www/blogs: Permission denied at lib/MT/FileMgr/Local.pm line 108"
Does anyone know what's going on?

Edit:
I found this post
http://blogger.psu.edu/node/385
which described a problem I thought was maybe similar to mine. I did what was suggested but I'm getting the same error when I click publish. Anymore ideas?
We've posted directions for customizing the image on the main page of the professional site template at http://blogger.psu.edu/help/advanced/profhead

I was googling around yesterday and I found three more styles you can use with blogs@psu.
2813: http://www.majordojo.com/projects/2813/
hemingway: http://www.majordojo.com/projects/hemingway/
cutline: http://www.majordojo.com/projects/cutline/
You can use the links above to see what each style looks like. To switch your blog to one of these styles, log in to your blog and go to design -> styles. Above the category listing you will see a little green plus sign once the styles load (wait for the spinning circle to go away). Once it appears, click the green plus sign and paste in the url above of the style you wish to use. Then the style will appear in the list for to select, just like the other styles.
These styles are all for "classic blog" and not "professional website", as far as I know.
