Editing the main profile

Hi,
I have 2 basic problems i have been struggling with.
1. I cannot do anything on the main page which is http://www.personal.psu.edu/seg233 but i can create a blog like http://www.personal.psu.edu/seg233/blogs/emre and do the editing there. I would rather like to do everything on the first website. Could you help me with this?
2. In http://www.personal.psu.edu/seg233/blogs/emre/blog/ website, all the entries that i enter are shown in the Blog section but i would like to enter the entry on FR401. In this case what should i do?

For question 1: Right now, for arcane reasons, you can't place a blog at the root of your website. Eventually, this ability will be made available.
For question 2: You can't add entries to a page of your site. All the entries go to the blog section. You could create multiple separate blogs, however.
